Your Daily Routine

daily routineYour Daily Routine is something you start by doing a little a time.  When you get use to that then you do more when you feel you are ready.  You want to do something consistently first.  It’s only when you have a daily routine, you will be successful.  So what is it that you need to do?  Prospecting and hustling is the best thing to do consistently, Ray Higdon says and who would be better to ask then him!  When Ray started out, he wouldn’t quit until he got 20 no’s a day, everyday.  It didn’t matter if he got a yes, he counted the no’s, and it became a game to him.  What ever it is you need to tell yourself, just do it.  Vince Reed said he would tell himself ‘the average person is going to quit when they hear no, but you will only be successful if you keep going, so if I want to be successful then I have to keep going!’

There is a book that will help you if you want to do what Ray Higdon did. It’s called Go for No! Yes is the Destination, No is How You Get There by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz.  There’s another book that is good for teaching how to hustle called Crush It by Gary Vaynerchuk, who is an excellent person to get to know.  Some people like myself think, it’s actually selfish if you are not successful so people can hear your story.  Every one of us has a story to tell that will help another person, so it is our duty to step up into our place so we can tell our story that will help others.

So now what should your Daily Routine be if you want to be successful?  75% of your time you are working should be actively prospecting.  That’s bold but true, how else are you going to get paid for doing what you want to do?  That means you should be reaching out to people and connecting with them to prospect.  You are building relationships, 5-25 people a day.  Start with just what you can even if it’s one person a day then build up as you feel you are ready.  Then also produce 1 -3 pieces of content, which can be a video, a blog, an article, an audio but just something that gives people value.  In addition you should be exercising and reading.  Studying marketing and mindset everyday will help with your results.

    Hi Susan,

Great looking blog; my first time here. Good advice you have given here. I think a lot of people (including myself in the beginning) did not realize the importance of daily and consistently putting yourself out there.

    Have a great day. Monna

This is a great post. Having a daily method of operation is important to have in your business. You should always have a set of daily activities that need to be completed on a daily basis. Appreciate you sharing and thank you for the great post!

    Hi Susan,

This post is ‘right on the money’. So many online solopreneurs are shocked and cringe when they are told that their main daily activity should be marketing. I schedule it on my calendar to make sure that it gets done.

    Hi Susan,
Some good resources here. I love Ray’s attitude – get 20 no’s a day! Love that, and it’s so true. Keep going in spite of the no. Motivating post, thanks!
